July 2026 Updates
It’s July 2026. I have some new updates!
The most exciting thing that's happened in my art this month is: I got 300K views on one instagram reel, and 100K on another. It turns out folks really like frogs! The videos I posted which grabbed the attention of instagram denizens were super simple animations of silly frogs, inspired by videos that other people took of frogs in real life.

The month of July is Artfight!
This is an event where visual artists around the world draw pictures of other artist's characters. The structure of the event is that you can post profiles of any of your OCs (original characters) and invite artists to choose which ones they might want to draw, paint, embroider, or otherwise depict in some way. When you make art of someone else's character, the post you make about it is called an "attack". When you attack, you earn points for your team. This was my first year trying it and it was so much fun! The drawing above was my attack for artist Melontine's Melon Cat character. I wish I'd had more time to do attacks, but alas, life happens!
